If you are still holding out hope that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will, against all odds, retain the ability for its S-Pen to be used as a remote camera shutter, among other Bluetooth features, it’s sadly time to give up. Despite what was previously noted in its Insights blog, the South Korean tech giant has now said that the upcoming flagship phone will not support any S-Pen with Bluetooth.
In a statement to Android Authority, Samsung has said that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will not support any S-Pen with Bluetooth, including the Pro stylus. The company also goes on to say that the entry in said blog post was an error, and will be removed. At the time of writing, we no longer see the paragraph when visiting said site.
This does somewhat explain the lack of its specific entry in the official Samsung online store, despite having already listed the S-Pen that comes with the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Unfortunately, this is another nail in the coffin for the hopes of those wanting to keep using the stylus’ Bluetooth-related capabilities.
Which means that fans of the Ultra devices are now faced with a strange choice. Either go with the new Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra for the new AI-focused chipset, or keep holding on to the one that provides a remote shutter for its camera.
