Just as gaming laptops and RGB lighting go hand in hand these days, so does the trend of makers of such laptops filling as many nooks and crannies with them as possible. ASUS has already gone the partial underglow route previously, but it looks like the brand plans to go all the way, almost in the same way as you would a car.
Through its official account on X, ASUS ROG posted the teaser for the new Strix, though which one specifically is not named. But the short clip does show full RGB underglow coverage on all sides, alongside the 6 January date. This coincides with the dates of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which is also quite explicitly stated in the post.

While the teaser naturally is not giving anything important away, VideoCardz has reported on a couple of listings that may be a part of the teased lineup. The list includes a new ASUS ROG Strix Scar 18 refresh, as well as a ROG Strix G16. Both were listed to be equipped with up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 285 HX, but the former’s graphics options top out an an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090, while the latter is capped at an RTX 5080.
Of course, brands usually have more to reveal during such a big event, and the same would likely apply to ASUS. Back in August, bits of information about a new ROG Flow Z13 gaming tablet trickled their way onto the internet, and more recently, listings of the thing have begun appearing on the internet as well.
