Just a day after we reported on what was all but confirmed by AMD to be the reference design of its upcoming Radeon RX 9000 Series GPU, one leakster has come forward with the claim that that card is indeed the Radeon RX 9070 XT.
Confirmation of the GPU comes from Hoang Anh Phu, who is known in tech circles for being relatively on the nose when it comes to hardware leaks. In this case, however, it should be noted that he doesn’t clarify if the RX 9070 XT in the poster is indeed an AMD reference design or an AIB partner cooler design.
Confirmed, this is RX 9070 XT.

Again, this isn’t the leakster or source that has outed the existence of the Radeon RX 9000 Series, let alone RX 9070 XT. As we reported, another prominent leakster, momomo_us, discovered the GPU and its non-XT variant being listed on a French hardware retailer, Grosbill Pro.
Hoang’s “confirmation” also lends credibility to AMD’s initial claim that it was going to focus on market share by churning out cards for the entry-level and mid-range market, rather than fight the uphill battle against green rival NVIDIA in the enthusiast and high-end GPU market segment.
