With the second season of Squid Game coming soon, gaming peripheral brand Razer has announced a small number of special edition products to tie in with the show. This involves the Orochi V2 mouse, top shells for said mouse, the Gigantus V2 mouse pad in three of its sizes, and two varieties of phone cases.
We start naturally with the Razer Orochi V2, which probably wouldn’t be the first mouse that comes to mind when you think of a mouse within the brand’s catalogue to get the special edition treatment. That being said, this AA or AAA battery-powered special edition mouse is no different from the basic model, apart from the fancy shell, of which there look to be a choice of four prints.
And on that note, there are more shells available too, in case the default one comes with a look that doesn’t work for you. At the moment, none of these look to be available locally, at least not yet. But for what it’s worth, the Razer Orochi V2 Squid Game Edition is priced at US$89.99 (~RM404), with each shell costing US$19.99 (~RM90) on their own. The former has a US$20 premium over the basic models which, locally, is priced at RM319.
It’s mostly the same story with the Razer Gigantus V2 Squid Game Edition, which comes in three of its four usual sizes, 3XL being the exception this time around. As with the mouse, there are four prints to choose from – which are M, L and XXL – and they are priced at US&39.99 (~RM180), US$44.99 (~RM202) and US$59.99 (~RM269), respectively. These specifically are also not listed on the brand’s official online store, but the existing Evisu editions may be a hint as to what they are priced at, if and when they land on our shores.
Finally, we get to the Razer Phone Cases Squid Game Edition, which come in Lite and Tough variants, priced at US$44.99 (~RM202) and US$49.99 (~RM224) respectively. These also come in four choices of print, only for the iPhone 14 and 15 family of devices. All that being said, the company has generally not made this product category available locally, and it seems pretty unlikely to change, at least for now.
