AMD is set to reveal the official pricing of the Radeon RX 9070 Series later tonight (9PM, to be precise) but unsurprisingly, that information has already been leaked. Well, the pricing for the Chinese market, at least.
Thanks to leakster HXL (@9550pro), we know now that the 9070 Series will retail at a starting price of RMB4,499 (~RM2,759) for the base 9070, while the XT model starts from RMB4,999 (~RM3,066). To put in in US dollars, that’s about US$617 for the former and about US$690 for the latter.
Wow!!!

Those prices put the Radeon RX 9070 Series squarely between NVIDIA’s current mid-range Blackwell lineup, the RTX 5070 Ti and the soon to launch RTX 5070. Officially, the two cards have a starting retail price of US$749 (~RM3,348) and US$549 (~RM2,455), respectively.
Sadly, the markup in Malaysia has the RTX 5070 Ti currently selling upwards of RM4,000 on average, which means the 9070 Series is likely to be subjected to the same markup, meaning that even the basic non-XT 9070 would retail north of RM3,000 when it finally becomes available.
AMD is hoping that the Radeon RX 9070 Series will offer gamers a more affordable 4K mainstream gaming experience. Where NVIDIA offers its DLSS4 technology, the red chipmaker will be offering its FSR4 upscaling technology.
