Public Bank has announced that its older mobile banking application, PB engage MY, will be completely discontinued starting June 2025. Customers who have yet to transition must switch to the new MyPB app to continue accessing banking services.
The bank has been urging customers to make the transition since last year, highlighting that MyPB offers a more modern and intuitive interface along with enhanced features. These include viewing account balances, making transactions, applying for banking services and products, scheduling appointments, loan calculation tools, expense tracking, and more.
To ensure a smooth transition, customers need to download MyPB from the Google Play Store, Apple App Store, or Huawei AppGallery. Existing PBe users can log in using their credentials and confirm the login via the PB engage MY app. Additionally, registration for PB SecureSign on MyPB is required, with activation available at any Public Bank branch or ATM. The bank is also advising customers on Android devices to make sure that their system is running on Android 11 and above.
This move follows a broader trend among local banks such as Maybank, CIMB, and Bank Islam, which have introduced newer apps featuring improved security and modern functionalities. Customers are advised to switch to MyPB as soon as possible to avoid service disruption and take advantage of the latest banking enhancements.
