Samsung has officially announced a launch date for its much-anticipated next-gen Galaxy A series. The upcoming lineup will be making its debut on 2 March, but the brand has not named the specific devices that will be launched.
There are a total of three new models that are expected to be released under the series, namely the Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy A26. However, the teaser image that Samsung used only shows two phones, so it is possible that only two models will be revealed while the other will be released later on. The company has teased that the Galaxy A series will be coming to Malaysia in mid-March, and based on a SIRIM listing, we know that at least the A56 will be making its way here.

While the company is still keeping all the specs under wraps, a recent leak purportedly reveals the specs and details of the Galaxy A series. If the leak is to be believed, all three phones will sport a 6.7-inch 1080p display with a 1,200-nit peak brightness and under-display fingerprint sensors for the A56 and A36.

The A56’s will apparently get Gorilla Glass Victus while the A36 will rock the Gorilla Glass 7+. Under the hood, the A56 is expected to run on an Exynos 1580 chip while the A36 and A26 will likely get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 and Exynos 1380 respectively.

All three phones are said to feature a 50MP main camera, but only the A56 will get a 12MP ultra-wide lens, while the other two are limited to an 8MP sensor. On the bright side, the A26 is the only that will reportedly house a 13MP selfie camera while the rest get a 12MP front shooter. Powering them will be a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W charging for the A56 and A36, while the A26 will only support 25W charging.
