vivo has officially launched the Y39, its latest affordable smartphone from the Y series. It seems to be the 5G sibling to the Y29 that was introduced last week, given that aside from the chipset and the design, its other specs are identical to the latter.
The Y39 is fitted with a 6.68-inch 720p LCD display with a peak brightness of 1,000 nits and a 120Hz refresh rate. Inside, the budget device runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. For connectivity, it supports 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, and NFC.

On the optics front, the Y39 features a 50MP main camera, a depth sensor, and an 8MP selfie shooter. Powering it is the same humongous 6,500mAh cell as the Y29, with support for 44W charging. Durability-wise, it is advertised with drop resistance as well as an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.
As was listed by local retailers much earlier, the Y39 retails at RM999 with blue and purple colour options. You can purchase it through the brand’s official Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop stores, as well as its online store on its website.
