Foodpanda has partnered up with TNG Digital to launch an e-wallet called Pandacredit. It is not a standalone e-wallet, but rather, it is a dedicated section in the existing Touch n’ Go eWallet app that was made specifically to store Foodpanda credits.
While users were already able to pay for their orders using TnG eWallet, Pandacredit allows you to earn cashbacks that can be used to offset your purchases. Moreover, the food-hailing company says that using the new e-wallet allows for faster refunds.
To activate it, you need to link your Foodpanda and TnG eWallet accounts, which can be done from either app. After it is activated, you can use your eWallet balance combined with any Pandacredit balance you have to pay for your order. However, be warned that your Pandacredit balance can only be used on Foodpanda, meaning that credits from refunds cannot be converted to cash.
For users who have activated Pandacredit, refunds are given as credit by default, although you can opt out of this and get your refunds to the original payment method by changing it in the Foodpanda settings. The e-wallet balance is also capped at RM500 and refunds will automatically go to your original payment method if your account has reached this limit.
