Serial leaker PandaFlashPro on X has claimed that Samsung will be redesigning the S-Pen for the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold7. Rumours suggest that the pen will be made slightly thicker than the Galaxy Z Fold6 pen.
After the panned Bluetooth support removal of the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s S pen, Samsung might be aiming for a redesign that allows it to support more features. While there have been no confirmations on what these features are, a thicker pen design could make for a better writing experience. This would also go along with a new tip for the S-Pen that was also mentioned by the leaker.

Unlike the Galaxy S25 Ultra, the Z Fold series do not come with built-in slots for the S-Pen, and they are instead sold separately as an accessory. Therefore, the rumoured thicker pen design may be plausible, as it will not interfere with Samsung’s reported plans of keeping the Galaxy Z Fold7 slimmer.
The redesigned S pens are said to start production in June and launch alongside the Galaxy Z Fold7. Take this with a grain of salt though, as there has been no confirmations directly from Samsung as of now.
