A new rumour is suggesting that OPPO may be launching an all-new Mini and Ultra variants of its Find X8 flagship series in March or April. This information is owed to leakster Digital Chat Station, who shared his findings on Chinese social media platform Weibo.
It is said that the Find X8 Mini has a thickness of between 7mm and 7.99mm, and would weigh around 180g to 189g. Digital Chat Station adds that it will feature a smaller 6.3-inch LTPO OLED flat screen with 1.5K resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate, a flat metal frame, and a new switch-style button to replace the alert slider that’s featured on the existing vanilla and Pro models of the Find X8 family.
The Mini variant is said to be powered by the same MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC as its siblings, but no details regarding its memory configurations just yet. Similarly, it’s unclear how much capacity the phone’s battery would offer, but the leak suggests that it will support 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.

As for imaging, Digital Chat Station says the Find X8 Mini will have a 50 MP main camera, a 50 MP ultrawide, and a 50 MP “ultra-thin” periscope telephoto with 3.5x optical zoom. No details revealed about its selfie camera or video recording capabilities, however.
Meanwhile, the Ultra is claimed to feature, naturally, a larger display than the vanilla and Pro models. However, its measurements are still unknown, but Digital Chat Station claims that it will feature a flat panel and thinner bezels.

The phone will also allegedly have an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, satellite communication support, and a 6,000 mAh battery with support for 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. Unfortunately, it is unclear which chipset is powering the top-end model.
Additionally, the Find X8 Ultra is said to come with a quad 50MP camera setup, though the primary will be the only one utilising a 1-inch sensor. The rest of the array will consist of a telephoto macro camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS, periscope telephoto camera with 6x optical zoom, and an ultrawide.

Note that Digital Chat Station has some hits and misses when it comes to insider information, so do take the information given with a pinch of salt. We’ll see whether OPPO will actually introduce a new Mini and/or an Ultra to its Find X8 series when March and April rolls in.
