If you’re an avid stamp collector, then you’ll know that Pos Malaysia does special stamps of all kinds. This latest one is pretty special, because this set of stamps is done in collaboration with the biggest media franchise in history – Pokemon. Or more specifically, its trading card game (TCG).
Pos Malaysia announced a set of 10 stamps, which are also bundled with four postcards and a souvenir cover envelope, as well as a playmat for the actual TCG, with a promotional Surging Sparks fun pack. All of these are bundled in a Poke Ball-shaped commemorative poster.

As for the stamps themselves, Pokemon has chosen four from the very first generation of Pokemon, and five from the latest. All of them have the 60 sen value instead of their respective HP on the top right corner. The 10th stamp instead shows the design that you’ll find on the back of a Pokemon trading card.
For the former group, there’s franchise mascot Pikachu, as well as the final forms of the Kanto starters Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise. The latter involves the base forms of the starters from Scarlet and Violet which are Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly, as well as the box legendaries Koraidon and Miraidon.

As for the postcards, Pos Malaysia has went for Pikachu and the three generation nine starters, with the mascot being used again for the envelope. And finally, the two playmats come in Pikachu and Eevee themes.
The entire set is priced at RM99, and are available for pre-order starting today. You can do so either in person by visiting the Pos Malaysia booth at the Pokémon TCG Showdown 2025 at LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre this weekend, or any of its 90 Philatelic Bureaus across the country. You can also get them via the Pos Malaysia online store, linked here.
