The road transport department (JPJ) has issues a statement for recalls involving vehicles numbering over 41,000. The recall involves passenger car brands such as Honda, Kia, Ford, Audi and Mercedes, as well as a number of trucks from the Man TGS line.
A large number of the cars involved in the recall statement are of the Honda Civic and CR-V series, though the brand issued its own for the two lines back in November for about the same number of vehicles. The reason for the recall, included in the JPJ announcement via its official Facebook page, also line up with what was announced a few months ago by the brand.

For the other brands, the JPJ announcement notes that two models of the Kia Sorento XM are being recalled, and for different reasons. The 2011 – 2015 model is being recalled for damaged engine connecting rod bearings, while the 2010 – 2014 model is being recalled for a potential short circuit and fire hazard involving the hydraulic control unit circuit board.
As for Ford, there are a few models of the Everest being recalled. The Everest 2.0; Titanium 4WD AT released between 2022 and 2024 specifically is being recalled as it suffered from an e-shifter battery drain while driving. Beyond that, the 2.0L Sport 2WD AT, the 2.0L Titanium 4WD AT, the 2.0L Trend 4WD AT, and the 2.0L Wildtrak 4WD AT models from the same year are being recalled because of the anti-pinch function of windows on both sides not working consistently.
The Audi recall mainly affects its e-tron GT models, including their RS variants. For the 2022 – 2024 model, these are being recalled because of cracked brake hoses on the front axle. Then there are the 2022 – 2023 models for abnormalities on individual modules in the high-voltage battery.

Affected Mercedes models include the S 580e of between 2020 and 2023, which is being recalled for lambda controls within the engine control unit (ECU) software potentially not meeting the required specifications. Also being recalled are the AMG E 53, AMG CLS 53, AMG GT 43 and AMG GT 53 of between 2017 and 2022 for the electrical connectors of the transmission wiring circuit being improperly manufactured.
