As previously reported, Nintendo is set to debut its Alarmo smart alarm clock in Malaysia next month. For those anticipating its 10 March release, you’ll be glad to know that the company has started accepting pre-orders via its official online store on Shopee.
Additionally, the local pricing for the Alarmo has been revealed. In Malaysia, the smart alarm clock will retail at RM529. While still pricey, it remains more affordable than the RM700 to RM900 range currently offered by certain stores.
To quickly recap, the Alarmo initially launched in October last year and was available exclusively to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers in the US and Canada. It features a 2.8-inch LCD screen, a motion sensor, and customisable themes featuring Nintendo characters. It also includes game-inspired tunes and sound effects, while the motion sensor lets users snooze with hand gestures or turn off the alarm by getting out of bed. For manual control, it has a large confirm button, a dial, a back button, and a notification button.
At the moment, only Nintendo Malaysia’s official online store on Shopee is offering pre-orders. The company previously confirmed that the Alarmo will also be available through local authorised retailers at launch, though none have listed it yet.
