Samsung teased the Galaxy S25 Edge at the end of the Unpacked event that saw the launch of the rest of the series. Little has been revealed about the device, but most of the rumours attributed to an S25 Slim previously has since been applied to the Edge. More recently, a report has claimed that it will have a ceramic back. Or at least, the back of the device will be using ceramic materials.
SamMobile reports that this ceramic material will lead to better durability for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge. That being said, the report notes that it’s unclear if this means that the device will have a back that’s entirely ceramic, or a form of glass with ceramic materials infused. The report also speculates that this is done to reduce weight, but the frame on the side will still be aluminium.

Also included in the report is a collection of items in the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge spec sheet, some coming from pretty official sources like the China Quality Certification database. Specifically, this one notes that the phone will sport a 3,900 mAh battery that supports 25W charging. Other items include a 6.7-inch screen that’s similar to the S25 Plus, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a 200MP main + 12MP wide-angle camera combo, and a 12MP front facing camera.
Prior leaks have claimed that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge would be released in May of this year. Since then though, 9to5Google has gotten a statement from a company representative claiming that it will be out around April instead.
