ASUS officially launched the Zenbook A14 in Malaysia today. The laptop is the brand’s latest Snapdragon X-powered laptop, as well as the lightest model it has launched, to date.
The Zenbook A14’s starting weight starts at less than a kilogram, 889g to be precise and goes up to 980g. Specs-wise, the base model runs on a Snapdragon X processor, while the top of the line model is equipped with an X Elite processor. Regardless of the CPU, all SKUs feature 32GB LPDDR5x-8448 RAM, 1TB of PCIe 4.0 storage, two USB4 ports, one USB-A 3.2 Gen2, one HDMI 2.1 TMDS, port, and a 3.5mm.
For the display, the Zenbook A14 starts with a 14-inch FHD+ IPS for the Snapdragon X model, while the X Elite model gets an OLED panel with a 600 nits peak brightness.
There are discrepancies between the two Zenbook A14 SKUs. The base Snapdragon X model comes with Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, has a 48Wh battery and a 65W power adapter.
As for the Snapdragon X Elite-powered Zenbook A14, it comes equipped with Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and a larger 70Wh battery and 90W power adapter.
Pricing for the ASUS Zenbook A14 starts at RM4,999 for the Snapdragon X model, while the SKU with the X Elite retails for RM5,999. The laptops are available in two colours, Zabriskie Beige and Iceland Gray. To sweeten the pot, anyone who purchases the laptop at select stores between 7 March and 31 March will receive an ASUS ZenScreen MB166B worth RM700, while stocks last.
