OnePlus has launch its new smartwatch, the Watch 3, which comes with several improvements over its predecessor including a larger and brighter display. On top of that, the watch now comes with a rotating crown next to its home button for navigation.
The Watch 3 sports a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED display, giving a variable refresh rate between 1Hz and 60Hz to save on battery, with a peak brightness of 2,200 nits. Under the hood, it runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 chipset and on the software side, it runs on Google’s Wear OS 5.

It gets a whole arsenal of sensors for health tracking, including a wrist temperature sensor, an eight-channel heart rate sensor, and a 16-channel blood oxygen sensor, supporting a vascular health test along with EKG functionality in some regions. Additionally, it comes with built-in dual-frequency GPS for better tracking.
The company claims that the watch can last up to five days in smart mode and up to 16 days on power save mode. On the durability side, it comes with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance along with an MIL-STD-810H rating and a sapphire crystal cover screen for drop resistance.

The OnePlus Watch 3 is priced at EUR349 in Europe (~RM1,620), which is slightly higher than its predecessor. For now, there is no word on whether it will come to Malaysia. Notably, its sister company, OPPO, is set to introduce the Watch X2 tomorrow, which is rumoured to be a rebadged version of OnePlus’ new smartwatch.
