Along with its new Mate XT tri-fold foldable, Huawei has also launched the MatePad Pro 13.2, its latest high-end tablet. A refresh of last year’s model, it offers nearly identical specs save for an upgraded camera module as well as faster charging.
As the name suggests, it sports a 13.2-inch 2880×1920 OLED display with a 144Hz refresh and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. Huawei does not disclose the chipset of its devices, but it is rumoured to be using either the Kirin 9100 or the Kirin 9020, paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Additionally, the brand claims that it has 30% better heat dissipation than its predecessor.
Imaging-wise, the MatePad Pro 13.2 is fitted with a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide lens on the back, while the front carries a 16MP snapper. Powering it is the same 10,100mAh battery but with a notably faster charging speed of 100W.
Oddly enough, while it adds a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, it gets rid of the 3D sensor for facial unlocking. On the connectivity side, it supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 while for audio, it comes with a total of six speakers.
The MatePad Pro 13.2 gets a retail price of RM4,999 and is available on the brand’s Shopee and Lazada stores. Pre-orders come with free gifts including a magnetic keyboard and M-Pencil.
