Bank Islam has announced that it will automatically transition GO app users to the newer BIMB Mobile platform. The move is set to take place in stages next month, starting on 3 March 2025.
To recap, BIMB Mobile is an upgrade to the bank’s existing GO app, featuring a redesigned interface that improves navigation and usability. Through it, users can manage accounts, savings, cards, and loans, as well as make zakat payments and access additional banking services.
A key highlight of the new app is its DuitNow integration, which enables seamless transactions and fund transfers. Security enhancements are also a major focus, with features like biometric verification and a Kill Switch designed to safeguard user accounts.

Bank Islam is encouraging customers to download BIMB Mobile ahead of this in order to enjoy its improved online services. The bank has not mentioned any plans to sunset the GO app yet, though the automatic transition suggests this may happen in the future.
