Meta has introduced more customisation options for its messaging app WhatsApp, with the latest update introducing chat themes. With this feature, users can easily choose a default theme if they do not want to bother picking out the specifics themselves.
The new chat themes can change the colour of chat bubbles and the background into any colour you like, whether it is a pre-set theme of a mix and match of your favourite colours. Of course, you can still upload your own image to use as a wallpaper for the chats or even choose from the 30 new wallpaper options.
The same chat theme can be applied to all your chats but you also have the choice of customising individual chats and channels. According to WhatsApp, these features have already started to roll out and will be available globally over the coming weeks.
Other recent features that have been released by the company include an in-app integration of ChatGPT, more ways to react to messages, and the ability to select participants for a group video call. Moreover, there is an interesting translation tool that is being developed by WhatsApp, which will reportedly include automatic language detection.
