As expected, Apple has launched the Powerbeats Pro 2, a new pair of earbuds under the Beats branding, nearly five years after the original came out. With that huge time gap comes with many improvements, including the addition of active noise cancellation, significantly improved battery life, and a built-in heart monitor.
The Powerbeats Pro 2 retains the ear hooks but comes in a lighter design with a charging case that’s 33% smaller than its predecessor. It adds personalised spatial audio support as well as an adaptive EQ, along with ANC and a transparency mode. The earbuds are also the first from the tech giant to offer a heart rate sensor, positioning it as a product for an active lifestyle.

As for the battery life, it offers a total of up to 45 hours of usage with the charging case, with playback times of 10 hours on a single charge without ANC and eight hours when ANC is enabled. It can also give you up to 90 minutes of playback from five minutes of charging and adds wireless charging support.
Connectivity-wise, it comes with the H2 chip alongside support for the Find My network, although it does not support Precision Finding. On the durability side, it comes with the same IPX4 rating for sweat resistance.
The Powerbeats Pro 2 can be purchased now through the brand’s online store at RM1,049 in four colours. However, it’s currently only available for delivery, with no option for pickup at the Apple Store.
