HMD has once again quietly launched a new smartphone in Malaysia with the Crest, its latest affordable 5G smartphone. The phone was unveiled last year alongside the Max variant, although it seems that only the vanilla model has made its way here for now.
The Crest sports a 6.67-inch 1080p OLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. Under the hood, it runs on a Unisoc T760 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable storage. It comes with an easily repairable design with a replaceable battery, back cover, display, and charging port while still offering an IP52 rating for dust and water resistance.

Imaging-wise, it features a 50MP main camera, a depth sensor, and a 50MP front snapper. Powering it is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W charging. For connectivity, it supports 5G, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 5, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Moreover, it ships with Android 14 out of the box with a promise of two years of security updates along with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for unlocking.
