Acer has expanded its Predator Helios Neo lineup with the introduction of the Predator Helios Neo 16 AI and Predator Helios Neo 18 AI gaming laptops. These models are powered by either an Intel Core Ultra 7 255HX or Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processors, along with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 or a GeForce RTX 5070 Ti laptop GPU.
Both models offer high-quality display options, where the Helios Neo 16 AI features an OLED WQXGA (2560×1600) panel with a 240 Hz refresh rate and 1 ms response time, while the Helios Neo 18 AI comes with a Mini LED WQXGA display offering a 250 Hz refresh rate and 3 ms response time. Both displays support NVIDIA G-SYNC, NVIDIA Advanced Optimus, and a MUX Switch for optimal performance.
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series Laptop GPUs are built on the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture. These are touted to bring AI-powered features such as NVIDIA DLSS 4 for improved frame rates, ray tracing capabilities and support for NVIDIA NIM microservices.
Memory-wise, the Helios Neo AI series supports up to 64 GB of memory and up to 2 TB of storage. They also come with PredatorSense 5.0, AI-enhanced communication features like Acer PurifiedVoice 2.0, and an AI-powered webcam solution, Acer PurifiedView 2.0.
To manage cooling, Acer has equipped these laptops with 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D fans, liquid metal thermal grease, and Vector Heat Pipe technology. Connectivity options include Intel Killer Ethernet E3100G and Wi-Fi 6E, ensuring stable online gaming sessions. Other features include an RGB logo on the lid and a 4-zone RGB keyboard on both models.
The Predator Helios Neo 16 AI will be available in North America in April, starting at US$1,900 (~RM8,487). Meanwhile, the Predator Helios Neo 18 AI will launch in North America in May, starting at US$2,200 (~RM9,827). Acer has not confirmed the availability for either laptops in Malaysia at this time.
