Tecno is speculated to release the Camon 40 series soon, but ahead of its unveiling, the Camon 40 Pro has made an appearance on Malaysia’s SIRIM database. The listing indicates that the phone will be launched here in the near future.
The Camon 40 Pro received SIRIM certification on 25 January 2025 with the model number CM6. A total of four models have been spotted online, including the vanilla model as well as the Pro 5G and the Premier variants, but so far, only the 4G version of the Pro has been spotted on SIRIM.
While most of the upcoming phone’s specs are still unknown, FCC listings have revealed a few key specs. First off, it will support 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC. Powering it will be a 5,100mAh battery with support for 45W charging. The Camon 40 Pro will also be incredibly thin, measuring at just 7mm.
The Camon 30 Pro did not have a 4G version, but for reference, it did sport a 6.78-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a high refresh rate of 144Hz. It ran on a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate chipset and was powered by a 5,000mAh cell with 70W charging. On the imaging side, it featured a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a depth sensor.
