Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was first unveiled by publisher Konami back in May 2023, with sprinkles of details since then. There hasn’t been an official release date for the game, beyond the 2025 window. Now though, in an apparent leak via an official source, we may have a date to mark on our calendars.
Industry leakster Wario64 shared on Bluesky a link to a trailer that was released likely accidentally released ahead of schedule, and two images screencapped from it. One of it shows the 28 August 2025 release date of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, while another hints at the return of the Snake vs Monkey game mode.

The trailer itself ends with “and more…” but it’s unclear for now what that entails. If you consider yourself optimistic, one could hope that this means all of the content from Discs 2 and 3 of the original’s Subsistence edition will be returning with Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. Though that seems like a lot to ask for the publisher that released Metal Gear Survive into the world.
Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater releases on August 28th according to PSN. Snake vs Monkey mode returns with "more to come." Digital Deluxe Edition will also be availableTrailer: vulcan.dl.playstation.net/img/rnd/2025…PSN store.playstation.com/en-us/concep…
Either way though, with this trailer being leaked, we will have to wait for Konami to release it in an official capacity before we learn anything new about Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. Unless, of course, something else leaks between now and then.
