ASUS has introduced its newest flagship smartphone, the Zenfone 12 Ultra. It comes with a lot of the same specs as its predecessor, but gets the latest high-end chipset along with a new primary camera sensor with an improved six-axis hybrid gimbal stabiliser.
The Zenfone 12 Ultra is fitted with a 6.78-inch 1080p LTPO AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a local peak brightness of 2,500 nits for HDR content, and a global peak brightness of 1,600 nits. Under the hood, it runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset paired with 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.

On the imaging side, the flagship sports a 50MP Sony Lytia-700 sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide lens, and a 32MP telephoto lens with OIS and 3x optical zoom on the back, and a 32MP selfie snapper. Powering it is a 5,500mAh battery with support for 65W wired and 15W wireless charging. Connectivity-wise, it supports 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC.

The Zenfone 12 Ultra is retailing in Europe at EUR1,100 (~RM5,062). It is unlikely that the phone will be coming here, given that the last Zenfone device to be sold in Malaysia was the Zenfone 8 series in 2021. However, ASUS is set to release the newly-launched ROG Phone 9 FE here soon as it was recently spotted on the SIRIM database.
