After nearly three years, Apple might be launching the next iPhone SE very soon. According to a report by Bloomberg, the 4th-generation SE will be introduced next week on 11 February 2025, alongside a pair of earbuds.
If the report is to be believed, the tech giant will not hold an event for the launch, but rather, it will announce the iPhone SE 4 through a press release on its website. Aside from the SE refresh, the company will apparently also release the Beats PowerBeats Pro 2, which will be its first pair of earbuds with a built-in heart rate monitor.
According to rumours, the updated SE will get a more modern design that looks similar to the iPhone 14, meaning that it will likely do away with the physical home button. Moreover, this will include the replacement of Touch ID with Face ID as well as the addition of Apple Intelligence, the brand’s in-house AI features.
Of course, because of the EU’s law requiring all consumer electronics to be equipped with USB-C for charging, the upcoming iPhone SE 4 will no longer carry the outdated lightning port. As for imaging, it is speculated to feature a single 48MP rear camera that uses the same primary sensor as the iPhone 16.
