If you missed the previous beta for Monster Hunter Wilds, the good news is that Capcom has scheduled a second beta for the game, ahead of its launch at the end of the month. If you’ve missed the previous chance to give the game a go, now’s the chance to jump in.
Most of the beta this time around will be familiar to those who have tried the previous run. This includes the ability to transfer your created character to the full version of Monster Hunter Wilds, as well as the free-roam hunts and cross-platform play.
There are also some new features being added to this round of the Monster Hunter Wilds beta. The list includes a training area at the base camp, private lobbies and an online single player mode, though it’s strange that such a mode still requires online connectivity. Monsters that appeared in the previous beta will be returning, but a new addition is the old classic Gypceros. Unfortunately, the previously announced balance changes are not among them, which is unfortunate for lance and insect glaive mains.
The Monster Hunter Wilds second beta runs from 7 to 10 February, on both PS5 and PC via Steam. There is also a benchmarking tool for the latter, which is available for download now, way ahead of the second beta.
