Apple has introduced a new app called Apple Invites, designed to simplify event planning and enhance engagement with invitees. Available for download on iPhones running iOS 18 and later, it allows users to create and share customised invitations for various occasions while integrating collaborative tools to enrich the experience.
With Apple Invites, users can personalise invitations by using their own photos or selecting backgrounds within the app. Additionally, Apple’s Image Playground feature is built in, enabling users to generate images for invitations. Other Apple Intelligence-powered features, such as Writing Tools, assist in crafting invitation messages.
RSVPs can be managed seamlessly within the app or via the web, without requiring an Apple account or device. Attendees can also contribute photos and videos from the event to a Shared Album. Apple Music integration enables collaborative playlist creation, allowing guests to participate in curating the event’s soundtrack. Furthermore, Weather and Maps integration provides directions and real-time forecasts for the event date.
Privacy remains a key focus of Apple Invites. Hosts can decide whether to include their home address in the invitation, and guests have control over how their information appears to others.
However, access to the invitation creation feature is limited to users with a paid iCloud+ subscription. While there is no restriction on the number of events a user can host, each event is capped at 100 participants. As expected, invitations and event details integrate with the Calendar app for easy scheduling.
