ZTE is set to launch a new entry-level smartphone called the V70 Max and we found out yesterday that it will also be available in Malaysia. However, ahead of any official announcement from the brand, several local retailers have already listed the upcoming phone, confirming its key specs and revealing the price.
The V70 Max will retail in Malaysia at RM399 for a 6GB+128GB configuration, although it is unknown if more configurations will be offered by the company when it officially launches. While the local launch date has still not been announced, the phone will make its debut in the Philippines on 15 February.
What’s interesting is that while the V70 Max has very similar specs to the V70 Design, it will actually be cheaper despite having a bigger battery and screen. The device sports a 6.9-inch 720p display and runs on the same Unisoc T606 chipset as V70 Design.
Imaging-wise, the affordable phone rocks a 50MP main camera, two depth sensors, and an 8MP front snapper. It’s powered by a hefty 6,000mAh battery with support for 22.5W charging. For connectivity, it supports 4G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth, and NFC. Additionally, it comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for unlocking and an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.
