Rugged smartphone maker Doogee has unveiled yet another device called the S119. It offers a hefty, durable design with a massive battery and even a secondary circular display on the back that looks a lot like a smartwatch.
To start with, the S119 sports a 6.72-inch 1080p LCD display with a peak brightness of 380 nits and an unspecified refresh rate. The start of the show, however, is definitely the 1.32-inch LCD rear display which has all the features you would see on a smaller outer display of a foldable, such as access to the camera, music player, messages, and more.
Under the thick hood, it runs on a MediaTek MT8788 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of expandable storage. For protection, it gets an IP69K rating for dust and water resistance as well as an MIL-STD-810H certification for drop resistance. Connectivity-wise, it supports 4G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 4.2, and NFC, along with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for unlocking.
On the imaging side, the S118 features a 100MP main camera, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, a 16MP selfie shooter, and a 20MP night vision camera which uses infrared light. Powering the durable phone is a gigantic 10,200mAh battery with support for 33W charging. As a bonus, it comes with a customisable button on the side.
The S119 is actually available now through Oukitel’s official Shopee store at RM1,089. However, do keep in mind that this ships from China, meaning that the warranty situation is uncertain.
