It appears that mobile telecommunications provider Yes (aka Yes 5G) is preparing to launch a new fixed-line broadband service called Yes Fibre. While details remain scarce, a dedicated webpage for the service is now live on the telco’s website.
The page reveals that Yes Fibre plans will start at RM35 per month for both personal and business users, offering internet speeds from 300Mbps. This suggests multiple pricing tiers may be available at launch.
According to Amanz, some distributors have already begun promoting the service. Interestingly, a promotional image obtained by the publication suggests that the RM35 plan is exclusive to Sabah, while outside of this promotion, the it is expected to cost RM139 per month. The same image also indicates that no upfront payment is required and that the subscription come with a 24-month contract.
For now, Yes has yet to officially announce further details. Those interested can register on the Yes Fibre webpage to receive updates as they become available.
