AMD’s Ryzen 9950X3D, along with the 9900X3D, is now rumoured to be arriving sometime in March. In conjunction, the 16-core and 12-core 3D V-Cache CPUs could be launching parallel to the Radeon RX 9070 Series GPUs as well.
The rumour comes by way of the French outlet Cowcotland but that’s about all it can say. The news site gives no specific timeline or when the AMD CPUs will arrive, only that they will be landing in March. Rather cryptic but still within the realms of the red CPU and GPU maker’s Q1 2025 availability date.
That being said, and if the remaining AMD Ryzen 9000X3D CPUs are launching in March and alongside the Radeon RX 9070 Series, we could be looking at a 23 March launch window. Back in January, we reported on a listing for the 9070 and 9070 XT cards being listed on a US outlet’s product page.
The product page showed both Radeon GPUs and their availability was listed as 23 March or more specifically, the day that preorders would open for it. Of course, that could also just be a placeholder, simply because that day falls on a Sunday and in our experience, neither AMD nor NVIDIA would lift an embargo on a weekend. To be clear, it has happened but it’s rare.
At this point, this is all hearsay and rumours, so manage your expectations.
