Shokz launched a new pair of open-ear wireless earbuds earlier this month called the OpenFit 2. The company states that the updated model offers better sound, less leakage, more comfort, improved battery life, enhanced durability, and the addition of physical control buttons.
As of now, the company has not announced any details regarding the availability of the buds in Malaysia. However, the OpenFit 2 were recently listed on the SIRIM database with the model number T920 on 22 January 2025, hinting of an imminent launch in the local market.
The OpenFit 2 are fitted with two drivers in each bud for the highs and lows. With its DirectPitch 2.0 technology, it claims to reduce sound leakage despite a higher maximum volume, with power consumption reduced by 95%. Moreover, the earbuds feature Bluetooth 5.4 as well as an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance.
Usage-wise, it can last up to 11 hours on a single charge, while the charging case gives it a combined total battery life of 48 hours. The physical buttons previously mentioned replace the previous touch controls to adjust volume, music playback, and answer calls.
