We already know that OPPO is launching the Find N5 in February alongside the Watch X2, even if it’s only in its home market. We also know that it will be launching in the local market at some point. With all that in mind, it’s perhaps no surprise that the company has started teasing its upcoming foldable smartphone on social media.
More specifically, the first few official images come via company Chief Product Officer Pete Lau on X. Its thinness looks to be the focus of these first few teasers, as they directly compare the OPPO Find N5 with an unspecified iPhone, but since it has a USB-C port it’s a representative of either the iPhone 15 or 16 family. An older image compares the unfolded device to a pencil.
Though all that seems to be pretty unnecessary, as the unfolded OPPO Find N5 looks to only be slightly thicker than its own USB-C port. Which, in my mind, speaks volumes more than any other comparison to other objects.
Perhaps it’s not particularly surprising that the teasers so far have not included any mention of specifications. That being the case, what we know on that front about the OPPO Find N5 is only what was speculated by prior reports on the OnePlus Open 2, itself an assumption that they will be the same device with a different badge like their predecessors. but with the expected launch window in February, it won’t be too long a wait until we find out.
