Earlier this month, Amazfit unveiled the Active 2, a follow-up to last year’s GPS smartwatch. The new watch gets a circular display, replacing the rectangular screen of its predecessor, with a smaller size and a reduced battery life.
While the brand has yet to announce when the smartwatch will be coming to Malaysia, it will likely be arriving here soon given that it has recently been certified by SIRIM. The Active 2 was listed on the database on 22 January 2025 with the model number A2437.
To recap its specs, the Active 2 comes with a 1.32-inch 466×466 AMOLED display with a higher peak brightness of 2,000 nits. On the protection side, it has a 5ATM rating for water resistance alongside tempered glass for the standard version and sapphire glass for the premium version.
As for the battery life, the 14-day rating of its predecessor has been cut to 10 days, but it can now last longer in GPS mode. For health and fitness, it is fitted with a new BioTracker 6.0 PPG biosensor and a new barometer for altitude measurements, resulting in support for over 160 sports that can be tracked along with an offline map feature.
