Last year, vivo launched the Watch GT, the first rectangular smartwatch from the brand. While it has been a while since it was released, it has recently made an appearance on the SIRIM database, signalling an upcoming launch in Malaysia.
The Watch GT was listed on SIRIM with the model number WA2456C on 20 January 2025. Notably, the watch comes with eSIM support for 4G connectivity, but it is unclear if this feature will be available outside of its home market of China. When it does launch here, it will be the second smartwatch from vivo in the Malaysian marketplace, following the Watch 3.
Specs-wise, the wearable sports a 1.85-inch AMOLED display with quad-curved sides encased in aluminium. Without eSIM enabled, the smartwatch can last up to 10 days with normal usage and 21 days in power saving mode. It charges via a dedicated puck with no support for wireless charging.
For health and fitness, the Watch GT is packed with sensors to monitor your heart rate, sleep, blood oxygen levels, and more. It also supports NFC and ships with BlueOS, which comes with several AI tools. For reference, it retails from CNY799 (~RM487) in China.
