Leaks have pointed at the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim being under 7mm thick, befitting the name. More recently, alleged renders of the device have made their way online, and with them, measurements on the device’s actual thickness. There’s also a claim of availability closer to the middle of the year, but we’ll get to that in a bit.
These renders come courtesy of serial leakster @OnLeaks, initially shared with Smartprix, with the measurement of 6.4mm thick, or 8.3mm when including the camera bumps. Height and width come in at 159mm and 76mm, respectively. This does make it a tad larger than the base model, at least where the numbers are concerned.
In the way it actually looks though, the renders of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim looks pretty much indistinguishable from the base and Plus models. Which probably isn’t saying much as renders of the latter two already make them look pretty much identical without a direct size comparison. And let’s not even get to the other elements like button and port positions, which are now seemingly universal across Android phones, never mind within a single brand.
The report also comes with a supposed partial spec sheet for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim, which comes with a few expected items like the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. But perhaps the more interesting items are the cameras at the back, of which there are the 200MP main + 50MP wide-angle + 50MP 3.5x telephoto combo. That last one is expected to feature the company’s new camera tech to reduce the size of periscope zoom lenses for phones.
As mentioned earlier, the report also makes a claim regarding the shipping date of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim, which is sometime in May. That being said, its appearance in the upcoming Unpacked event next week has not been completely ruled out.
