Tune Talk has announced the rollout of 5G access to all 1.5 million of its subscribers. According to the telco, this upgrade will cover both users of its new Epik+ 5G plans as well as those still on legacy plans, and will be rolled out for free.
While a little late to the game, this is definitely beneficial to those who are still on older plans with no desire to upgrade. According to Gurtaj Singh Padda, the company’s executive director, “we are proud to bring 5G connectivity to everyone without the burden of additional charges. This upgrade is also our response to customer needs. We heard feedback from our customers and now empower them by offering blanket access to next-generation connectivity at no extra cost.”
Last month, the company released three new 5G-enabled plans called Epik+. The cheapest plan costs RM25/month for 40GB of data with uncapped speeds and unlimited calls, but no hotspot usage.
There is also the RM35/month plan that offers 150GB of data with a shared hotspot quota, unlimited calls, and it includes a personal insurance coverage. Last but not least, the most expensive package is priced at RM50/month, which includes all the previously-mentioned perks but ups the internet quota to 350GB.
