Half a year after it was originally launched, the Samsung Galaxy Ring appeared in the SIRIM database, suggesting a local launch happening soon. More recently, the company has confirmed that it will indeed be available locally, and as soon as next month, though no specific date was mentioned.
According to an online press release, Samsung says that the Galaxy Ring will be made available in 15 additional markets starting in February, of which Malaysia is one of them. There is a small disclaimer at the end that says that “the exact launch date may vary by market”.
What is coming sooner that the local launch though are two additional sizes for the Galaxy Ring, with 14 and 15 being the new sizes. This brings the total number of sizes up to 11, which is from 5 to 15. These new sizes will be released on 22 January, so by the time the health tracker wearable gets to our shores the new sizes will be arriving in tow.
As part of the expansion of the Galaxy Ring to additional markets, the Samsung Health app is also getting new updates to “provide more personalised and comprehensive health capabilities”. This includes providing a list of improvements you can make in your room for a better sleep, as well as suggest optimal bedtimes based on your sleep patterns.
