In conjunction with its desktop GPUs, NVIDIA also announced the GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs for laptops that include the ASUS ROG Zephyrus lineup. That, by the way, includes the Zephyrus G14 and G16.
It’s clear that ASUS is recycling the chassis design from last year but again, it has managed to cram in the latest good stuff. Starting with the G14, the laptop is finally rocking the new AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 CPU, while GPU options start from the RTX 5070 12GB GDDR7 and top out with the RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7.
The Zephyrus G14 also comes with 32GB LPDDR5X-7500 RAM, while the display is the same 14-inch 3K (2880 x 1800) Nebula OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate.
As for the G16, the display units we saw at ASUS’ CES 2025 booth showed that it is offering the laptop in two CPU flavours: one with the Ryzen AI 9 365 and another with Intel’s new Core Ultra 9 285H CPU. The latter CPU, by the way, is part of Intel’s new range of Core Ultra H Series, which also includes the 24-core beast that is the Core Ultra 9 285HX but isn’t used in the Zephyrus lineup.
In this case, and based on ASUS’ official product page for the G16, it’s pushing the model with the Core Ultra 9 285H and not the model with Ryzen AI. Anyhow, the laptop GPU options range from an RTX 5070 Ti to the RTX 5090.
The display for the Zephyrus G16 is still the same. It’s still the same 16-inch QHD+ OLED ROG Nebula Display, complete with 240Hz refresh rate, plus NVIDIA G-Sync. Other specifications include 64GB LPDDR5X-7467 RAM onboard.
At the time of writing, we still do not have local availability and pricing.
