Alongside the Magic7 Pro and its Porsche edition, HONOR also announced the Watch 5 and Earbuds Open to go along with the phone. The former succeeds the Watch 4 that was released back in November of 2023, while the latter looks to be something new being added to the brand’s catalogue of personal audio products.
The AMOLED screen on the HONOR Watch 5 has gotten a very slight upsize, now measuring 1.85 inches, but it retains the familiar 450 x 390 resolution. It has a 480 mAh battery which the company says gives it up to 15 days of battery life, which is a slight improvement over the previous generation.
As a fitness tracker, you get the usual monitoring for your heart rate, stress and sleep levels. You can get the HONOR Watch 5 to run tests and get readings for these metrics with a tap. The wearable is packed in an aluminium allow body, with an IP68 rating to go with it.
Moving on to the HONOR Earbuds Open, this is another entry in the seemingly resurging trend of open earbuds. These have a battery life of six hours on their own, or up to 22 hours if you include the charging case. They connect via Bluetooth 5.2, and can take two connections simultaneously. There’s of course noise cancellation, and in the age of AI it naturally gets some related features like AI translation, but this involves two people sharing a single pair of earbuds.
Like the Magic7 Pro, both of these will also be available starting 17 January. The HONOR Watch 5 will have an asking price of RM599, while the Earbuds Open will cost RM699.
