HONOR has officially launched its new flagship in Malaysia, the Magic7 Pro. Unfortunately, only the Pro is making it to our market this time, leaving out the vanilla model, but there is also a special Porsche edition of the phone up for sale.
The Magic7 Pro is fitted with a 6.8-inch 1080p LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, an HDR brightness of 5,000 nits, and a global peak brightness of 1,600 nits — for the first time since the Magic2, the flagship’s display is flat instead of having curved sides, although the company now calls it quad-curved as it is slightly raised. Under the chassis is the latest high-end chipset from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 8 Elite, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
On the optics side, the bleeding-edge device features the same 50MP main camera with OIS and an adjustable aperture as well as a 50MP ultra-wide lens, but it does get an upgraded 200MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. Up front, it houses a familiar pill-shaped cutout containing a 50MP selfie shooter and a 3D depth sensor for facial unlocking. It ships with MagicOS 9.0 based on Android 15, packaged together with several in-house AI features along with Google’s Circle To Search tool.
Speaking of unlocking, HONOR has also brought back the ultrasonic under-display fingerprint scanner, which has not been seen in the series since the Magic4 Pro. Powering the flagship is a massive 5,850mAh battery with support for improved 100W wired and 80W wireless charging speeds. For protection, it comes with an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance, as well as scratch and drop resistance.
The standard Magic7 Pro retails at RM4,599 for the 12GB+512GB variant and RM5,199 for the 16GB+1TB variant, while the Porsche-inspired RSR version costs RM6,999 for a 24GB+1TB configuration. The former can be pre-ordered from now until 17 January, while pre-orders for the latter are open until 23 January.
