PlayStation first introduced the Midnight Black colourway to the DualSense controller and the Pulse 3D headset back in 2021. Now, the company is extending it to more of the current console generation’s accessories. Four of them are getting the new paint job, which are the Pulse Explore, the Pulse Elite, the Portal and the DualSense Edge.
The good news is, like the previous batch of Midnight Black accessories, PlayStation has not tacked on the usual premium on this colour variant. The Portal will still retain its RM999 price tag. Ditto the Pulse Explore, with the same price of RM999, as well as the Pulse Elite, also keeping its RM699 asking price. The company emphasises that these audio products also come with a grey felt carrying case.
With the DualSense Edge, you’ll probably be seeing a pattern with the price tag. As with the default white colourway, the Midnight Black version of the Pro-style controller, it too keeps the unchanged price of RM999. Perhaps it’s only the other colours that get the pretty tax.
All that being said, these are not things that will be available immediately. Instead, PlayStation says that this batch of the Midnight Collection will launch on 20 February.
