It’s that time of the year again as Samsung has officially confirmed the date of its annual Galaxy Unpacked event, which will include the launch of the upcoming Galaxy S25 series. The event host will also be unveiling a variety of new AI features under the Galaxy AI banner, and it has also teased a potential refresh of its Bixby voice assistant.
According to reports, this year’s lineup will likely consist of the vanilla Galaxy S25 as well as the Plus and Ultra models, but there is a possibility that the company will throw in a new Slim variant into the mix. As for updates to its foldables, it is unlikely they will be announced at this event as they are usually the main star at the brand’s summer Unpacked event.
As for what we can expect with the upcoming flagship series, a purported leak hints that the South Korean company may be taking a page out of Apple’s playbook and adding a dedicated camera button. A previous report also indicates that the lineup may come with access to Google’s Gemini Advanced for free for a limited period.
Galaxy Unpacked will be taking place in San Jose, California on 23 January 2025 at 2AM (local time). It will be livestreamed on the company’s website alongside its YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn pages. If you register your interest by 22 January, you will get a RM200 voucher.
