Koorui, a Chinese display maker, announced that it is planning on unveiling the G7, the “world’s first” 750Hz gaming at CES 2025. Besides the high refresh rate, it will also be the first monitor fitted with a QD-TN panel.
TN, or Twisted Nematic, is a panel technology used in displays that typically favours higher frame rates over, the trade-off being a lower accuracy in colour and viewing angles. With the Koorui G7, the monitor’s panel is enhanced with Quantum Dot (QD) technology.
The G7 is said to deliver a 0.5 GTG response and thanks to the QD portion of the panel, Koorui claims that it can deliver a DCI-P3 colour accuracy of 95%.
While 750Hz is higher than usual and certainly a first in the industry, it remains to be seen what sort of real-world applications this monitor would provide. By our estimate, Koorui is clearly aiming at pushing the G7 towards the Esports market. There’s also the subject of pricing; a gaming monitor with such a feature is certainly going to cost a pretty penny.
As mentioned in the title, Koorui will be showing off the monitor at CES 2025.
