ZTE has announced a surprise launch of two new entry-level smartphones, the Nubia Music 2 and the V70 Design. This is actually the first time that the brand has unveiled the phones, making it their global debut.
For starters, the Music 2 gets a fairly similar design to its predecessor, notably with the large circular speaker on the back that resembles a turntable, but with additional LED strips for lighting effects. it comes with a total of three speakers as well as a 600% volume boost feature — unfortunately, it only has one headphone jack instead of two like the original Music.
The budget phone sports a larger 6.7-inch 720p LCD display with a higher 120Hz refresh rate. It runs on a Unisoc T606 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, along with a 5,000mAh battery that charges at 10W.
Imaging-wise, it gets a 50MP main camera, a depth sensor, and a 5MP front snapper. As for connectivity, it supports 4G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC while for unlocking, it is equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Moving on to the V70 Design, it also gets an upgraded 6.7-inch 720p LCD display with 120Hz refresh rate, but it runs on the same Unisoc T606 chip as the V60 Design — it gets more RAM and less storage with the 8GB+128GB configuration, but it comes with a RM50 price cut.
On the optics side, it features a 50MP primary camera, two depth sensors, and a 16MP selfie snapper. Backing it is a 5,000mAh cell with support for 22.5W charging. Moreover, the affordable phone is fitted with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and support 4G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC.
The Music 2 retails at RM389 while the V70 Design is priced at RM449. Both phones can now be purchased through the company’s official Shopee store.
