MSI officially pulled back the curtain from the MPG 272URX QD-OLED gaming monitor. Like the ASUS ROG Swift PG27UCDM, the display makes full use of a QD-OLED panel, featuring a 5-layer tandem panel and EL Gen3 technology.
Specs-wise, the 272URX is a 27-inch panel with a maximum resolution of 4K and a 240Hz refresh rate with 0.03ms response time. The pixel density is rated at 166ppi, and it is an NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible monitor.
Again, like the PG27UCDM, the 272URX monitor comes with a DisplayPort 2.1a UHBR20 port that supports up to 80Gbps bandwidth, which is how the monitor is able to support the mentioned 4K240Hz on a 27-inch form factor. Other ports include two HDMI 2.1 ports and a USB-C that supports alternate DisplayPort and 98W fast-charging.
The display is also VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certified, and comes with MSI’s OLED Care 2.0 technology to prevent burn-in. That, and it also comes with a 3-year burn-in warranty should such an event occur.
The MSI MPG 272URX QD-OLED gaming monitor is expected to make its debut at the brand’s booth at CES 2025. At the time of writing, local pricing and availability have yet to be announced.
