Asus recently announced its latest ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM, ahead of CES 2025 which is taking place next week. The monitor is one of the world’s first 27-inch gaming monitors with 4K resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate,
The PG27UCDM uses Asus’ fourth generation QD-OLED panel, offering a pixel density of 166 pixels-per-inch (PPI), as well as a 0.03ms GTG response time. In addition, the display is a DisplayHDR 400 True Black panel, with support for Dolby Vision and HDR10 to boot.
For connectivity, the PC27UCDM offers a DisplayPort 2.1a UHBR20 port, yet another first for the monitor. This new connectivity supports up to 80Gbps bandwidth of uncompressed image quality, which is how it is able to support 4K resolution in the 27-inch form factor. Other ports include HDMI 2.1 and a USB-C port that double as alternative DisplayPort and 90W fast-charging.
Other features in the PG27UCDM include Asus’ Anti-Flicker 2.0 technology and Care Pro technologies, the latter utilising a proximity sensor that puts the display into a blank, black state, whenever it detects no one is sitting in front of the monitor.
The ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM is expected to be available from February onwards, meaning that local availability and pricing for the gaming monitor will be announced closer to the window.
