A poster from the Chinese tech forum, Chiphell, recently leaked the official packaging for an MSI GeForce RTX 5080 Gaming Trio. The packaging is now the closest image we have to the finalised version of the upcoming Blackwell GPU, and even confirms the card’s internal specifications.
The Chiphell link is already offline but not before screenshots of both the front and back were taken. Given the resolution, it’s a bit hard to see but the print at the bottom right of the box confirms that the RTX 5080 will ship out with 16GB GDDR7 graphics memory and a 256-bit memory bus.
Those two nuggets of information confirm the long-standing rumours about the RTX 5080 and its prowess. The card is also expected to be built around the GB203-400 GPU, comprising 10,752 CUDA cores, and will connect via a PCIe 5.0 interface, although the first two are still unconfirmed. Further, the memory speed of the GDDR7 has yet to be officially announced but earlier reports suggest that NVIDIA could have it running as high as 32 Gbps.
Oh, that the card is expected to have a 360W TDP.
And RTX 5080 360W.
